Bongo Kumbho is an ancient spiritual congregation of Bengal, deeply rooted in Sanatan tradition and collective sadhana. It is not merely a festival, but a living spiritual phenomenon that reconnects society with its sacred past.
Historically, this Kumbho tradition remained discontinued for over 700 years, gradually fading from public observance due to changing times. In recent years, through the collective resolve and blessings of revered spiritual gurus, Bongo Kumbho has been revived, restoring a vital spiritual and cultural link that once defined Bengal’s sacred landscape.
Philosophy
Yogi Kalikananda Saraswati Ji believes in a divine synthesis of the Vedas and the Tantra — the two complementary aspects of Sanatan Dharma.
Veda, in his view, represents the eternal presence of Shiva — the unchanging, pure consciousness.
Tantra, on the other hand, is the living energy of Shakti — the power of transformation and awakening.
This balanced integration brings a holistic spiritual path — one that is not limited to ritual, renunciation, or power — but moves toward oneness, truth, and inner freedom.
His teachings draw from India’s oldest scriptures yet are rooted in contemporary compassion, aiming to restore the spiritual soul of Bharat through unity, simplicity, and fearless inquiry.
